Here are some ideas for updos that are suitable for any occasion to inspire your late spring and summer hairstyles.

Messy Bun with Braided Crown

Curly hair that is naturally voluminous is perfect for this style. If your hair is straight, curling it first will add the volume and waves needed for a perfectly messy look. Section the front of your hair to braid down each side and pull the rest of your hair up into a high messy bun near the crown of your head. Allow a few curls to spill out here and there. Wrap the braids around your head at the hairline to form a crown and secure at the nape, tucking in the ends.

Waterfall Side Braided Bun

This style has a bit of a mermaid feel and would be perfect for the beach, or anywhere really. Braid your hair down one side in two waterfall braids that overlap and wrap around to the back. Style the ends into a low messy bun and secure. Pull out a few tendrils around your face and lightly curl to frame your face and soften the look even further.

Dutch Crown with Bun

This is a romantic style that looks like it took all day. No one will ever guess how easy it was to create. Start by dividing your hair horizontally into two sections. Plait the top section into a crown Dutch braid. Next, loosely braid the bottom section and pin it into a loose bun underneath the crown braid. Curl a few tendrils around your face for an extra touch of romance.

This classic look is quick and easy for some fun in the sun. Pull your hair to the side and braid loosely. Pull out and curl some wavy pieces on either side of your face. Add a cute floppy hat and you’re ready to go.
